Support As a quality assurance and support mechanism, each caller to the Infoline is offered a follow up call, one month after the original call. This is to ascertain the usefulness of the information provided and to establish if an individual's level of health awareness has increased based on the information received. This is also an opportunity to explore if the caller was able to action some sort of behaviour change, and to assess the barriers and facilitators in that process.

Additionally, the 'Go for your life' Infoline can create tailored information kits featuring content from our website in relation to physical activity, healthy eating and many chronic health conditions. Whether your query is based around exercise, nutrition or community involvement, the 'Go for your life' Infoline service will give you current and accurate information.

The Infoline also caters to callers who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment. They can call through the National Relay Service:

  • TTY users phone 133 677 then ask for 1300 73 98 99
  • Speak and Listen (speech-to-speech relay) users phone 1300 555 727 then ask for 1300 73 98 99
  • Internet relay users connect to the NRS (see www.relayservice.com.au for details) and then ask for 1300 73 98 99
