Active West Objectives

• To define the current problems/attitudes, perceptions and barriers to uptake of active transport by Victoria University students and staff as well as Maribyrnong and Gilmore Girls secondary students and staff with relevance to the broader community.
• To define and deliver integrated and effective walking and cycling infrastructure changes that encourage active travel.
• To ensure integrated solutions are developed with the Whitten Oval/Western Bulldogs and Maribyrnong Council infrastructure projects.
• To define and deliver an effective TravelSmart campaign to support infrastructure changes and encourage increased uptake of active travel behaviours.
• To research and evaluate the effectiveness of the infrastructure changes and TravelSmart campaign.
