RPL is applicable to fitness professionals who have allowed their registration to lapse and are outside the grace period to be eligible to re-register.
Fitness Professionals can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) from a Training Organisation to have their competencies assessed. Depending upon the result of the assessment the fitness professional:
    a) may receive the current qualfication as part of the national fitness package
    b) may receive some credits and be required to undertake the remainder units
    c) alternatively they may be required to undertake the fitness qualification again.
